Board-certified urologist, founder of ErectionWave™, and an advocate for thorough, convenient men’s health care.
Board-Certified Urologist
Dr. David Shusterman is a board-certified urologist serving Manhattan and Forest Hills. He earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University and completed residency training in urology and general surgery at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital (Rutgers). He is certified by the American Board of Urology and has been in practice for more than 18 years.
Dr. Shusterman makes every effort to put his patients at ease and to provide thorough, comprehensive care. His consultations are precise and unhurried, with an emphasis on understanding the full picture before recommending treatment.
Dr. Shusterman has built his office to be a complete testing and treatment environment. Using modern ultrasound diagnostic equipment, many results are available the same day, right in the office — without the wait of an outside referral. An in-office blood draw station means patients do not need to travel to a separate lab.
When a procedure is appropriate, it can often be performed in-office. The practice maintains certified operative rooms and modern equipment, and treatments that might be uncomfortable can be performed with appropriate anesthesia. The goal throughout is patient comfort, convenience, and efficient, high-quality care.
For men exploring ErectionWave™, Dr. Shusterman evaluates the contributing causes of erectile dysfunction — which may include blood flow, hormone levels, nerve function, and other medical factors — and recommends a treatment approach suited to the individual. He treats men across the full spectrum of need, from those seeking a boost in sexual performance to those facing more significant difficulty.
His commitment is to honest conversation: clear expectations, a candid discussion of the available options, and a plan built around the patient in front of him.
Dr. Shusterman is a recognized voice on men’s sexual health and has been featured in national and local press — including the Daily Mail, ABC News, FOX News, the NY Post, and the NY Daily News — discussing shockwave therapy and the treatment of erectile dysfunction. See his press coverage →
